Audience: This is a training for a senior living center designed for activity managers and their assistants. Activity directors have been in the job for a few years while most assistants have only held the job for less than one year. Most staff are female. Most directors are 30-60 years old while most assistants are 18-35 years old.
Business Problem: There have been complaints that their photographs do not look natural and are not aesthetically pleasing. Staff members are not following basic photography rules and are over-editing photographs. This training will help them take better photographs leading to an increase in social media post interactions which will lead to more post visibility.
Design Process: I followed the ADDIE/SAM process. I analyzed learner needs, gathered source material, and designed the course. In order to help learners apply the knowledge, I created scenarios. Then, I created Kirkpatrick's level two scenario-based knoweldge checks and a graded quiz. To personalize the course, I added a text entry variable for the learner to add their name. The course then addresses the learner at the beginning of the course and congratulates them at the end of it. Lastly, I developed the course in Articulate Storyline and went through alpha, beta, and gold evaluation stages.
